It also includes support for cloud storage and enables users to mount popular cloud accounts like Dropbox, Google Drive, Amazon S3, and OneDrive on their Mac. It comes with a user-friendly interface and offers plugin support to help take the functionality of your FTP client even further.

General Options – Selecting the General tab of CrossFTP’s configuration dialog allows you to set up server options such as the host and port. You can also change the server’s password and enable SSL/TLS transfers if necessary.

Chose the server of your choice

Server Type – Choose which server type you wish to use at the remote site, Unix, Windows or VMS. The choice here will affect the end-of-line (EOF) of transferred files.

ASCII Transfer Mode – The choice here will determine how CrossFTP will handle ASCII files, either by using Auto-Detect or by manually selecting the appropriate filename extension in the ASCII filter list. This will prevent unwanted sFTP errors due to a mismatch between ASCII files and their extensions.

Connect Timeout – The number of seconds that CrossFTP will wait for a site to respond to a connection request. It will abort the connection if it is not successful after this amount of time.

High-speed transfer

Concurrent Transfers – Choose the number of simultaneous queue transfer connections you will allow from CrossFTP. If the number of concurrent transfers exceeds this value, CrossFTP will forbid new connections until all of them have been completed.

Attempt to Resolve Link Files – If this option is chosen, CrossFTP will try to parse the remote site’s link files to get the target object instead of only the link. This is useful if the remote site’s links to a file do not work, and the real target object is only accessible through a link file.

Verify CRC Checksums (From SFV Files) – If this option is selected, the transferred file will be checked against its CRC checksums when a checksum file (*.sfv) is available in the same directory as the transferred item. This will ensure that the transferred file does not contain any malicious content.

Configure host files

Host – The IP address or domain name of the machine that identifies the computer that runs the CrossFTP Server. Unless you know exactly what IP address is needed for the server, leaving this field empty will make CrossFTP use any IP address that you have access to on your local network.

Secure Options – The Secure Options tab of the config dialog will allow you to configure public key authentication for SFTP/SSH. You can specify where to save the OpenSSH’s private key file, and a passphrase for that key. You can also choose to add or delete certificate files, view certificates and manage trusted servers and CAs.

Sync/Mirror – The Synchronize/Mirror toggle lets you choose whether to synchronize or mirror the left and right directories panels when a queue item is transferred. This is especially helpful when you want to share the same directory on both the left and right sides of the directory panel, or if you are using multiple servers at the same time and would like to keep them in sync with each other.
